Consumers love letter grades for restaurants, and many shun eateries that get anything but an A. But some of New York’s biggest and most respected hospitals, like New York-Presbyterian and Mount Sinai Medical Center, just got C grades on 26 safety indicators, according to a report by the nonprofit watchdog Leapfrog Group. NYU Langone Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx each got an A.
